6 Year Old Lied to Me

My girls are both great kids at school— none of their teachers have ever had any problems with them, and I’ve gotten compliments on them since they’ve been in school. My first grader’s teacher uses a cube system for behavior. They start with 3 cubes and lose a cube if they get in trouble, and then they write the number of cubes they have at the end of the day on a sheet that parents have to sign every day.Yesterday, my daughter got in the car and immediately said that she accidentally wrote a “2” on her sheet instead of a 3. I just told her okay and initialed it. Thought nothing of it.This morning, I had a meeting with her teacher. It was a normal meeting about the fall progress and everything. She asked me if my daughter told me about her friends getting her into trouble yesterday. I told her no, and she told me that they all lost a cube for dancing/being silly in the bathroom after being asked to finish up and get out.So now I’m not sure what to do. We have a tally system at home (similar to the cubes, but we start the week with ten) and I know I’ll have her erase 2 tallies, but other than that I’m not sure. WWYD?TL;DR— Daughter, otherwise great kid, lied about getting in trouble at school yesterday. She doesn’t yet know that I know she lied. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NLio1v
