How do I tell my 6yr old daughter her grandfather passed away?

Please see question. My daughter and grandfather had a fantastic relationship. He lived and breathed for her and spoiled her rotten. He recently passed away and we are trying to figure out how to break the news to her. This is the first death in the family since her birth, so she does not understand (at least I think) the topic of death fully.How do we approach this?
