I have a 5yo girl who is very gentle and not the least interested in death or violence. However, the past two weeks we have spent time with a five yo boy who talks constantly about death and killing. He ties up dolls with pipe cleaner, etc. I believe he is testing out ideas to feel grown-up and powerful, but I'm not a therapist. I try to ignore it so it does not get the attention he seeks, but I also do not want to normalize this talk with my daughter. How would you address the issue?
