In my local news, I just read of a father who forgot his 6 month old in the car, all day. When he went to pick up the child at daycare, they told him the child was never there. He found the child, dead, in his car. Every summer we hear of people leaving their kids or pets in the car, just for a few minutes while they run to the store.
