Scared about being able to support a family (financially). How do low income parents manage?

I'm going to be a father, but it's kind of happening at the worst time. We don't know if we'll still have jobs after March and even then, they barely got us over the poverty line (still have to pay off debt from all that time we were under it). There are a lot of things that need to be bought and I have no idea how we'll be able to. I'm kind of freaking out but It's not showing, wife has enough on her mind right now.
