When did your kid decide they were "too old" for most toys?

My 7 year old just hit me with the "I'm too old for my toys" line. She wants to donate just about everything in her toy trunk to the battered women and children shelter.She only wants to keep her books, craft items, painting tools, Legos, iPad, DVDs, and her little sewing machine that uses adhesive glue in place of a needle and thread. She also wants to weed out her book collection to donate the ones that are lower level. She's at a 6th grade level and is dead set on getting rid of her "baby books."I remember still playing with Barbies at age 9. But I know she's adamant about this.
