Books for a toddler on secular Christmas/winter solstice/holidays around the world

We’re atheists who accept that you can’t escape Christmas in the US and even enjoy parts of it. What we’re trying to teach our two year old is that Christmas is a time for gathering with family and fighting the cold and darkness with bright lights, food, and family. We want to teach him about the origins of Christmas tradition especially their more pagan roots without turning him into a pagan either. Does anyone have any experience with this? We’ve been teaching about holidays using books so he knows what to expect but I don’t want a Christian book on holiday traditions. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2zOs1VZ
