I have a four month old and I usually just hum the tune to frere jacque because I forgot the lyrics. Or sometimes I'll sing him Vashti Bunyan's Diamond Day, because it's just such a sweet song and I think it sounds pretty. I'll sing that one to my five year old also. What do you sing to your kids?
