Clinic doctor believes bathroom troubles are actually behavioral. What do now...

So we went to the clinic today because my step son has been in the bathroom just about every 15 minutes trying to push out as much pee as he possibly can since yesterday morning. Friday afternoon, he peed his pants at his mother's because he was too "busy" to go. So we assumed UTI or something. But also, all last weekend he's been saying he's gotta go potty just to get out of doing things. When the doctor came back in the room, he said that his pee was clean and healthy and that they sent it out for cultures just in case, he even took a look at my step son to make sure there was nothing funny going on down there. His conclusion? It's probably behavorial and a control issue.Sooo, what do we do? If it keeps up too much longer, we're going to make an appointment with an urologist. But how do you correct this if it is just behavioral? I don't want to punish him for having to go to the bathroom and make him think that it's not okay to go if you actually have to go but he can't keep using it as an excuse to get out of doing things or being in trouble for something else. I'm so confused.Edit: He's 5, I forgot to mention that and has been potty trained (except for night time) since he was 3 and this has never happened before. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2nkwmGT
