Early intervention is there a support sub?

So my child has qualified early intervention services where we live. Is there a sub for this? Mainly I'm curious about how to best utilize their services to help my child. For instance when the specialist asks what are my goals for my child I'm never quite sure what to say and when they ask how often I would this or that service I also don't know. I do not want to be guilty because my sign seems to have a minor delay but on the other hand I have found the sessions with the speech therapist to be quite beneficial.
