Can we talk about the Hatchimal price gouging?

Personally, I think they're stupid. Oh cool, you have to incubate them and they hatch and grow! And then what? After the first half an hour, the fun is gone.So tell me why the glorified stuffed animals were $50 two weeks ago and now are anywhere from $250 - $700?Don't worry though, they had them on "sale" at their original price at several places for Black Friday. Although the stores only stocked 4 or 5 of them and several gave out wristbands for them hours before the sale actually started.So if all little Susie wants for Christmas is one of these asinine birds, the only option parents are left with is to somehow scrape together hundreds of dollars.
