My 12yo has known most of his friends since elementary school. He has been best friends with one boy since pre-k. Totally utterly inseparable. All of a sudden, his best friend has be MIA. I asked my son about his best friend and he says he doesn't talk to him anymore. Nothing bad happened. Ironic part is that they play on the same sports team, are in the same classes and have overlapping friends. They went from best friends to acquaintances.
