Two year old is having major difficulty transitioning to big kid bed...

Hey /r/Parenting,As of a few weeks ago, my 24 month old was climbing out of her crib right as she wakes up in the morning. And since my wife/I were scared of her falling out, we accelerated her transition to a big kid bed by putting the crib mattress on the floor. In the crib, she went down super easy and slept through the night without a single wake-up. During the transition at bedtime, we've continued to put her down at 7p sharp but she now won't let us leave the room without a knock-down/drag out tantrum that lasts at least 50 minutes. Once we leave the room, it's full-on attention-seeking behavior mode: yelling bloody murder, climbing up the changing table, taking the diaper off. No self harm, thank god.We thought we were out of the woods last night when we were able to soothe her with a white noise machine for long enough to sneak out of the room. She then woke up and screamed for 45 minutes at 2a. And again at 4a. She's comfortable with the crib, so maybe I should put it back. Then again, I'd rather not set it back up if I don't absolutely have to.Any ideas to help smooth out the transition? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2LufdKs
