We are currently dealing with our first fever that's not a reaction to shots. My son is 6 months. We have given him Motrin and four hours later we have given him Tylenol but the fever is just not breaking. It is ~101 before the Tylenol. Is there anything else we should be doing? What do we watch for before we go to the doctor, is there a special number like there was for newborns?He had RSV when he was 2.5 months and that put him in the PICU for 2 weeks so we are very jumpy when it comes to him being sick but I don't want to take him into the ER unless it's absolutely necessary.
