Explaining Death to 2 Year Old

I have a very bright 2 year old, he'll be 3 next month. My grandfather is dying. He might have a couple days left. I've been super sad and let my son know that it's because my grandfather is very sick. He knows my grandfather and likes him very much.I know it's been discussed here. I can't seem to recall the advise. And I can't really find the threads. Link to them if you can. But how do I explain death to a kid this age?
