Equally proud and embarrassed

My husband just went into my 2-year-old's bedroom at 7am because he was upset, and he said 'prendre train', which is 'take train' in French. My husband was really confused at first until my son said 'caca' and realised he'd done a poo. Years ago the phrase 'I need to catch a train' emerged as a euphemism for needing to take a number #2, and we still use it now. We never say it to him but he'll have heard us say it to each other in English, and also translated it for his Dad. I'm both doubly proud and embarrassed! My only concern is that he might say this to people at nursery and not be understood... via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2kAq9IH
