What from your own upbringing do you look back on and think "wtf?" to now that you're a parent?

I always find it interesting when I think back to random things that my parents let me do as a child, then look at my own kids and wonder "wtf were they thinking???" via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/293vtPx
