That said, the walls in my living room (I live in NYC in a rental) appear to be plaster over lathe. Can I effectively secure furniture to the wall if my wall is like this? It doesn't look like plastic toggle anchors will work.. Should I be on the lookout for toggle bolts or hollow wall anchors? Any tips for anchoring to plaster walls?
