Hi everyone,Long story short. I live abroad in Japan, and my 11 year old son hasn't eaten in almost a month, and has been hospitalized with an IV. Physically, he's fine--but whenever something gets in his mouth other than liquid, his throat spasms shut. The doctors diagnosed him with Psychosomatic disorder with a 'give it time he'll eat when he's hungry enough' solution.I'm asking the community for some advice for books or articles on these types of mental disorders in children. I've read 'The Body Keeps the Score' which is great, but focused mainly on experiences with young adults from abusive families.Any ideas? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2CS0zFr
