Technology monitoring

My F/11 year old step daughter has unlimited access to a tablet , we were looking at memes she's saved and she turns the tablet away from me saying she has "private" photos she doesn't want me to see. Am I being unreasonable for thinking that she doesn't have to show me everything but she should be able to show me anything ? Furthermore As a minor I feel we are responsible for what she's gotten into on the internet and whether or not it's been deemed appropriate for her age group. Also I think that only when she's responsible for her own actions should she be given full privacy with such electronics. It's difficult for me to be able to understand the concept of free range parenting bc I was brought up in quite the opposite. Any suggestions from people that have already been there? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Ldv2EX
