I just need reassurance. I have a 16yr old (male) who loves videogames. If he could he would play all day. My husband and I turn off the wifi every morning until he does a house chore (weed, brush the dog, dust etc), applies for 3 jobs, and does some sort of exercise. Then we turn it on and he's glued to a screen for hours. I know I'm doing the right thing. But man he makes me feel like I'm an abusive, horrible, mean mom for making him do (what I feel is) the bare minimum. He has more chores every Sunday, including cleaning his room, bathroom, and loft. Please tell me I'm not too strict! I'm not, am I? What do you make your teens do during the summer? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2va87zJ
