My mother in law thinks I'm the evil stepmother and his son is Cinderella. She never said it to me, but she says it to my husband every time they talk (not quite in those words). We both work full time. When we are at home, I do the cooking and take care of our (crazy) 17 months old toddler, which includes night wakings, still three to five times every night. My husband does most of the cleaning and grocery shopping. I help a bit when I can, like tidying the apartment and passing the vacuum cleaner when I can turn it into a game with our son, or during naps when we expect guests. He also does some parenting of course, changing some diapers and sometimes taking the baby out for walks, mainly in the weekends to let me sleep a little longer. We didn't really discuss how we were going to split the chores when the baby came, we just kind of naturally fell into this pattern. I guess it works for us and it's pretty fair, we are about the same amount of exhausted. MIL's opinion still bothers me though.Does she have a point at all? How do other couples divide the house chores? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2LKNPqY
