My daughter turned one the last day of June. I was on maternity leave in 2017 from the day of her birth until October 31st. I was lucky and able to bring my baby to work most days once I returned, but now there is no way I can. She is on the verge of walking and I work in the education field. I've taken the summer off to care of her, along with attending school on weekends to become a real estate agent. I officially go back to work for the upcoming school year this tuesday, July 31st. I have already chosen a daycare that one of my colleagues baby goes to. I've toured the facility and generally feel very comfortable with the services they offer. They have cameras rolling 24/7, which is a perk. But I'm scared! I am sad that I have to pay other people to take care of MY child so I can essentially take care of OTHER peoples children! Quitting my job is out of the question, as I make more than her father does. She has never been around other babies, other than my colleagues - one time. I just worry how she will adapt to the new environment when she's used to being home and/or around her father and I. I guess what I'm asking for is other parents that have experienced taking their child(ren) to daycare for the first time- to please, ease my unknown fears. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2LCrZpn
