Original post: https://ift.tt/2LiJtYy for people following this: Also long. No resolution yet.I called different doctors listed on my Insurance Sunday and since it was Sunday we would have to wait and most were automated saying they would call me back within 24 hours. We went to several hardware stores looking for sensors or locking mechanisms our apartments would allow. Kept coming up empty so we two day shipped multiple sensors we found on Amazon. Last night we waited up with our door open (no tv or music on) my husband caught my daughter crawling on all fours across the living room peering into our room from the floor. He walked her back to bed and we started again watching and listening.About 30 minutes pass and we heard the door open and my husband BOLTED we live in an open plan 3 bedroom so he was at the door in a few strides. Daughter had made it into the living room and SOMEONE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR. Daughter starts screaming “MOMMY” it sounded like she was being attacked. I had run our already and low and behold two police officers. My first though was maybe it was a surprise visit (at 9:30 PM??) and they were doing a welfare check but no. THEY WERE BRINGING HER HOME.For the time to make sense it had to have been a 5 minute window she had crawled and silently opened the door leaving it open so we wouldn’t hear it shut. These officers were confused because my husband ran to the door and I basically asked if they could stay and answer questions or give me phone numbers for treatment places that would not make me wait. Coincidentally one of the officers lives in our complex. He gave me four numbers of places that didn’t pull up online for adolescent psych. I basically laid it all it on the table because I was less shocked this time and more “help me please”. They were floored, she found my keys this time but our wallets were hidden to well. She also played dumb this time and acts like she wasn’t sure how to get home or her name when the first time they said she knew everything backwards and forward. These officers instead of telling her she was “brave”, “so smart”, and “did exactly the right thing” like their colleagues, backed us up and told her how dangerous it is and how much danger she is putting herself in. At one point the officer looked at her and said “Why are you doing this?” I’m not exaggerating when I say my daughter covered her face to prevent him from seeing HER SMILE. We all saw it anyway and the look on his face was exactly how I feel. One of the places he referred me takes walk ins and we are going when they open. Husband went ahead and bought a lock we bolted in last night because screw the complexes policies, the officer said we pay to much in rent for them to regulate our doors.I’ll update when I know more from her appointment today Edit: spelling via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2mEk2C3
