[Rant] When your kid has lice, do the damn work

Heads up: anything below is likely to contain bad language, bad attitude, some playful and tongue-in-cheek guy-bitching about girls, and lots of finger pointing. If you're worried that I'm talking about you or Braden/Caden/Draden/Jaden/Hayden, stop here because I will offer exactly zero apologies.Know what happens when your kid gets lice?My fucking kids get lice.Know what happens when you don't do the fucking work to get rid of the fucking lice?MY KIDS GET THE LICE.Know what happens when my kids get your lice?I have to spend $200 on kits and medicine to stop them from spreading. I have to stay up until 2 on work nights getting everyone to sit still, shampoo, comb, detangle, comb, cry at the combing, and make more laundry than I managed to create by saving a semester's worth to take back to my parents. My gas bill for the hot water and my water bill for fourteen loads of towels, sheets, and clothes both go up. I have to take two days off work to calm my wife down and take the kids to the doctor. I have to stop my entire fucking life over eggs and nits and the single UGLIEST animal to ever curse planet Earth with its existence.All because you couldn't stop buying smokes and Red Bull long enough to care for your kid; to follow the fucking directions on the Rid kit; or to be the fucking ADULT and call us, saying "Yeah, so sorry but like he's got rice or something in his hair? I stopped listening. But the doctor said I should tell you after their playdate."This is going to be my life for the next two weeks: stank-ass hair drip at 130 in the morning; two kids wincing and crying as I have to micro comb their hair; being a living walking talking Xanax for my wife who will now for the next SIX MONTHS be worried that any time any one of us has an itch that we have to do this all the fuck over again.If your kid has lice, sac the fuck up, medicate, inform, and follow the fucking program.
