Help!I am looking to see if anyone has any advice or has experienced the same thing. I have two boys, one 3 year old (4 years in a few months) and one 8 month old. My 3 year old is very defiant and constantly screaming when he goes to time out or is disciplined for something he’s done wrong. And by screaming I mean blood curdling high pitched screams, as if he’s being physically hurt. This will happen multiple times a day (when disciplined) sometimes lasting onward of an hour. He doesn’t ever seem to tire himself out and it’s like you cannot reach him. He will throw items at the door, bang the door, yell “shut up”, “I don’t want to” “you’re naughty” etc. I’ve tried time outs, taking items away, talking to him calmly about his feelings, cut out sugar, stopped screen time. Nothing seems to work. It’s really hard to sit there and listen to screaming day in and day out, no matter what part of the house he’s in you can hear it. I’m at a loss as to what to do, has anyone experienced this? Any advice that has worked? Before I go insane please any and all advice :)EDIT: just to clarify he will only begin screaming when being disciplined ! Not just at random times throughout the day. He’s content until disciplined, that’s when the screaming begins via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2uBNmgH
