I have had a hard time making other Mom (or Dad) friends. I often say hi to people and don't even get a response. My siblings and I all have mixed race children, but only mine looks nothing like me. My SIL suggested that parents may assume I'm my daughter's nanny, and that's why they avoid me. I have been asked if I'm her nanny more than once, so this seems plausible, although hurtful. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NENPpA
