Sometimes the smallest gestures from your kids make all the difference

I (34M) have been having a really tough time of it over the last couple of months due to poor mental health. Recently I've been having lots of negative thoughts that I'm a bad dad and that I'm letting my kids down. Well, tonight I put my son (3.5) to bed, and read him Green Eggs & Ham. I got to the end of the book, and my son pointed at the grumpy man and said "is that Sam's daddy?"Me: yes he is [not mentioned in the book but just went with it!]Son: does he like Sam?M: yes he does, very muchS: aww I like you daddyHe gave me a big cuddle, said goodnight and went to sleep. That little gesture has got to me, I love my kids and I'm so happy I have them, and that they DO like me! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PnA9mX
