My 7 year old had meniscus removal 50% and meniscus repair. I’m really struggling to not feel some level of guilt for somehow preventing this issue. Recovery has me worried since it can take around 3-6 months.

Sometimes I find myself losing sleep over the thought of my son will return back to normal. Nothing seems to indicate otherwise but I also never expected this surgery to ever have to take place. I have to go back to work next week and my son is still not recovered(only been 10 days)and he will probably be expected to go back to school. I don’t know if I can take more time off. I have too many thoughts running through my head and need to find somebody who has dealt with a similar situation. All the search results I get anywhere seem to just be ads for some dr or hospital.
