Take him out of school for the birth?

I'm expecting my third child in late October, and my oldest child will be in school (3rd grade.)The birth will be a planned c section, so eventually I'll have the exact date and a rough time.I am debating on whether I should send my son to school that day, which assuming all goes to plan WILL be a school day as per my Doctor's c section day at the hospital. He will have had about 2 months to get into the groove of his new class, and he's super excited to have a new brother.I have a few options- send him to school as normal and have his Aunt (a block away) get him off the bus, and my MIL or Mom bring him to the hospital.Have him stay home that day with his sister and my MIL or Mom (whoever takes daughter.)Have him go to school and have his Godmother pick him up early and bring him to the hospital when she arrives.I keep going over and over this in my head and can't decide if I should make the choice myself, or ask him what he wants to do. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2O3eo93
