My daughters are coming to visit for the next 9 days!

Two of my three girls (15, 12) will be here from today until next Sunday, the 29th!Regretfully, this and one week in the end of August are the single longest visits at once I get, however it gives me extra incentive to make sure it's extra meaningful. We do things we normally wouldn't (go to dinner, specially requested meals, visits to family we don't see as often, etc.) and find things just while relaxing. The hardest part now is that they're at the point where it's not so great and grand to just hang out with dad anymore. I'm pretty boring and very limited on most things because of my physical disabilities, but I persist anyway. It's not the greatest outlook for me and my girls sometimes and I feel so much guilt, yet we seem to be able to get along just fine anyway. There's only so much you can do in the time you have with your kids and I urge you to make the most of it (don't take it for granted!!) Sitting and watching a movie, playing games...they're all as important to them as much as it is to you. I've just found that as they get older, it gets much more difficult and trying to find alternatives sometimes. In the end, though, it's letting you know they love them that matters the most and I put out as much love as I can to know they know (however, it has to be less overtly now, especially when other people are around) 😊 via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2zX7JtX
