First time posting and I’m in need of a little advice. My toddler just won’t keep her hands to herself. No matter how much I try to teach her that other kids are not to be touched she insists on touching their hair, giving them a kiss and a hug because they’re “so cute” (in her words) — or forcibly asking them to play by pulling on their clothing. She is an only child and is around adults most of the time. When she’s around children, outside of the playground, she’s better at keeping her hands to herself, for the most part. I had to post today when I got a bad reaction from another mom after my daughter decided to kiss the 1 year old on the forehead because he was “so cute.” I asked my kid to apologize and felt awful when the mom snatched her kid up, rolled her eyes at me and walked away mumbling something into her phone about the “people at this playground.” It was the first time I saw the reality of rejection or how this kind of behavior may cast my child out. How do I get this under control? She is the sweetest girl ever, I just don’t know how to implement the concept of respecting boundaries. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2A3ZE6E
