First ever game night

First time posting, but felt I had to share.I came home from work late today, only and hour left before normal bedtime, and decided on my way home that instead of housework, or cooking or tv/internet, I would instead focus on my kids. Like actually just hanging out with them instead of nagging them to get sht done.So I watered garden and played in mud with youngest son until sundown. Then quick bath time and agreed to play quick-round Monopoly for only 30minutes together with oldest. We ended playing for a whole hour, getting loopy from being so tired, laughing up a storm and everyone was in such great spirits that youngest went straight to bed with nothing more than a “good night” and oldest actually brushed teeth on his own and went to bed while I washed up the dinner dishes.I felt like everything just feel into place.Then I got to bed and was ready to share all this with hubs, but he’s out like a light. shrug thanks for always being awake r/ via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2JTpJW1
