I’m not looking for a medical diagnosis. My son turned 3 in July. We are currently navigating the system to get him into speech therapy and have a global developmental evaluation done. The earliest appointment for the developmental evaluation isn’t for another 6 months. Hopefully speech therapy can start a lot sooner. In the meantime, I’m looking for suggestions for how I can work with him at home. Activity, book, or video suggestions would be so helpful! A little more about him:can name 100s of objects and sing songs, but doesn’t participate in most everyday conversationonly scribbles. No lines or circlesI’ve never seen him hop or jump. He’s a bit clumsy.doesn’t throw a balldoesn’t recall and retell informationdoesn’t say his nameno sensory issues. Very social and affectionateit can be difficult to get him to participate in structured activities. He ignores you if he isn’t interestedWe won’t know where the delays are until the evaluation, but I would like to work with him as much as I can until then. I just don’t know where to start. Thanks in advance for your help! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2oijS7v
