Should I let it go?

Yesterday my 2nd grader got sent to the office. They use the color behavior chart and he was on blue for two reasons. His teacher called and said he was standing in the boys’ bathroom with his pants and underwear down, waiting for an empty stall. Some boys saw him and tattled. Then later he was not raising his hand in class before talking so he ended up on blue, had to see the counselor and a note was sent home. I know my kid and I knew when she told me about the bathroom thing there was more to the story. The truth was, he was using the urinal and some boys came in and he got embarrassed. I didn’t even know he used the urinal at school and I guess we never went over proper urinal etiquette lol. So he just dropped his pants like he does at home. The classroom behavior got him in trouble, I agree with that bc he’s a blabbermouth. I don’t agree that he should get in trouble for going to the bathroom though! His teacher is not a good communicator and doesn’t care to listen so he doesn’t even bother to defend himself. That upsets me. So I don’t know if I should even bother to explain what really happened or let it go. I feel like she won’t care either way though. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2C5T5z8
