So my son is really tall for his age (5years old and 49.5" tall). He's the average height of a 7-8 year old child.The other day we were at the park and he was running around and he starts trying to play with a group of children who look to be 7-10 years old. After 10 min of trying to play with them one of the little girls approaches me and asks me if my son is ok (not in a malicious way). I asked her what she means and she said that he wasnt listening or playing the way the other kids were and asked me if he understood what her and they other kids were saying and if they should try a different game with him that he knew. Basically she wanted him to feel included.I told her that hes only 5 years old and he kind of marches to the beat of his own drum so she may have to explain the rules a couple times but he would catch on quick. She said thank you and ran off to play what I assume was tag or something similar and my son had an absolute blast.Whoever is raising that little girl, you are doing an amazing job! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2FDYmjE
