My kid was a horrible sleeper for the first year of her life. I was averaging maybe 3-4 hours a night of sleep, in 30 minute increments. Sometimes less. No, I'm not exaggerating. She's sleeping through the night now, and I'm not breastfeeding anymore, so I get to sleep through the night now. It's been 2 months since we weaned her off the morning feeds.I'm noticing I still don't feel mentally "all there". My brain is scattered and my short term memory is shot. And the least little stressor sends me over the edge. I used to be able to fast for Yom Kippur with no issues. This year, I was unable to get through the day; I pretty much collapsed in the late afternoon and had to end my fast early. For those of you who have been there, how long does it take to get better? Does it get better? What did you do to help your brain recover? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2yFiuLX
