Why is it that my kids get along SO damn well when they should be going the F*CK to sleep?!

They're super flippin' cute. Adorable, even. But, shit. It's 9:27pm (USA, CA), and "bedtime" was an hour and a half ago. The wife and I are in a headspace where we want to head into each other's space. If ya dig? We need them to sleep. They need them to sleep. In the morning, all four of these preteen a-holes (~4, 6, ~8, ~10) are likely to be dcks to us because mom & dad opted to "let them tire themselves out". The boy is playing ninjas and karate with his older sister, and the oldest is helping the youngest get a drink of water. Couldn't they please just read books to each other, sing songs, invent stories, play games, dance, and be wholly and astonishingly awesome when it's NOT time to go to bed? Okay. Gotta go shatter this sunshine and candy cane rainbow gumdrop familial love party. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2yM6KKq
