Advice wanted:My 19 month old and my 4 month old are in a home daycare with just three other little girls (9 month old, 2.5 year old, and almost 4 year old). I visit every day at lunchtime to nurse my 4 month old.The 4 year old picks her nose NONSTOP. I mean, nonstop. Anytime she is not eating food. Digs into her nostrils hard, then eats her boogers, sucking her fingertips. It turns my stomach. I see her dig, eat, suck, then play with the toys, hold my son's hand, try to pet my baby while I'm holding her, etc. I know that all kids have germs, there is no real avoidance, but to see her have such a gross blatant habit and then putting her hands all over the place and on my kids repulses me.The daycare lady does wipe down her hands before she eats meals, but I see her wipe down her hands, then immediately go back to picking and eating until she gets her food. Then back to picking/eating nonstop. Basically, the kid's hands are never clean, and I know that's an impossible request.I'm nervous my son will start to do this nonstop too. He has sometimes started to pick his nose in front me (I know this is normal), but mostly I'm just so absolutely grossed out when I visit, I can't even look up while I'm nursing. I can't bear to watch everything and everyone she touches. I don't say anything directly to her besides telling her she can't touch the baby while her hands aren't clean, and the daycare lady has heard me and supported this.My question is, is it too much to ask the daycare lady if she can talk to the young girl about her habit? Or talk to the parents? Or is stuff like that off limits because all kids are gross and tend to have bad habits like this?Let me emphasize: she is NONSTOP picking/eating. More than I've ever seen any child do, ever. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2gCeViL
