Keeping toddler entertained after new baby is born

I have a 2 year old (25 months) and I am 8 months pregnant, due in mid November. My son has been in daycare since he was 6 months old. I decided to stay home after the baby is born to take care of the kids. My last day of work was earlier this month. We have kept my son in daycare because I don't have the energy to entertain him right now. He's very active and needs a lot of out of the house time to be happy and content. When he's cooped up he gets crabby and throws fits. We plan on keeping him in daycare until the baby is about 2 weeks old. My concern is I won't have the energy to keep him happy and entertained when the new baby is here. Last night I was up with him every 45 mn and then up for good at 4am because he is sick. We stayed home from daycare today and have painted and just watched TV. It's 930 and we are already 1.5 hours in on TV time. I feel like a crap parent because I don't want him watching so much TV but I'm too tired to keep him entertained. His room is Montessori style where everything is in his reach. He has books, blocks, stickers, puzzles, digital toys, etc but he doesn't play well alone (unless he's at school then he's fine). How can I expect to entertain my toddler when the baby is born and I'm exhausted? I don't want him to suffer because there is a new baby in the houseAny advice? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2JeRSJk
