DAE hate Christmas now?

I’m probably just a huge Scrooge, but figured I’d put the question out there anyway.Who else dreads Christmas now that you have children?I have admittedly never been a huge fan as a former retail worker who was inundated with Christmas music and decor from September-January every year (the burn out is real). But now with kids, I feel like the fatigue and resentment has only grown for me. I know that some parents feel the absolute opposite, and thrive on watching their kids get excited for Christmas, but I really can’t take it. All the shopping, wrapping, decorating, cooking, entertaining, planning, etc. falls on me and me alone. The incessant talking about Christmas presents for a solid 6 months? Oh yeah, I’m the one who has to listen to it all day. Sitting around doing jack shit at about a dozen different relatives’ houses. And god forbid I forget to pick up a gift for my husband’s great aunt on top of all the other shit I’m supposed to remember.I want SO BADLY to just go on a week-long vacation and avoid the holiday altogether. But of course with small kids it isn’t an option.Sorry about the rant. I noticed yesterday that Home Depot took down all the awesome Halloween decor and replaced it with a bunch of fucking fake Christmas trees. Ho ho fucking ho. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/367HvkA
