Has anyone ever re-introduced a nap for their toddler (who is staunchly anti-nap but seems to need one again)?

We dropped our 2.5 year old's nap a little over a month ago because she was either not sleeping at all and spending the whole time whining, or if she did happen to fall asleep, she'd be up till 1am that evening. So it seemed like maybe naps were no longer necessary. Well in the last week, she's been extremely obviously tired in the evenings and has slept about 14 hours at night. So it seems like maybe it was a phase and she does actually still need her midday nap. But when we mention bringing it back, she reacts like we're considering punishing her. Anyone ever dealt with something similar? Any advice on making her see it as a good thing or at least not as some kind of punishment? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2XzgQZB
