Can my son really be charged with sexual harassment?

While in class yesterday, my son made the out of context statement, "I bet if I wore a dress to school, the boys would be attracted to me." He was redirected to his work and continued on his day. But the teacher reported it to the principal, who told me that this could be construed as sexual harassment. I lost my mind and demanded a meeting with him and the teacher. They insisted that if this behavior persisted that because of "the negative effects on other students it would be treated as sexual harassment". Unfortunately it didn't go much beyond that because of time constraints, but this does not sit well with me. Is the principal right? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HhceBz
