Parent's treatment of daughter

I was at my mother's house. My three year old daughter was eating breakfast. My mom was in the room and I went to the bathroom. I came back and my mother was yelling. Going on about how my daughter was rude to her. Apparently my mom tried to help my daughter with her napkin, and my daughter said, "No, stop. Leave it alone. I don't want your help. Stop." My mom threw a fit, went up to her room, and slammed the door...over what a three year old said. My dad defended it by saying that my daughter is always mean to my mom. Then he mocked my daughter's crying by saying, "And the award goes to..." I don't even know how to deal with this. I'm just shocked that they can be so unstable to freak out over the words of a little kid, then blame me as if I can control everything she says. I discipline her when she acts up, but three year olds say things. Am I right for thinking their behavior was absolutely ridiculous and insane? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2JpUFAF
