I am ADHD Inattentive type. I was eventually put on Wellbutrin at 11, after a late diagnosis (very common for girls). I tried a trial of a few different meds but I don't really remember them. Being treated at this age is quite late and I am very motivated to get my son effective treatment ASAP.In my adulthood I've tried Adderall and Concerta. I like Adderall better. Concerta was fucking awful. My son has ADHD Combined type. He can function okay in school, but can barely function at home. Our home life is hell. I don't know what to do anymore and I know that my constant nagging and exasperation is not helping his self-esteem. Something needs to be done ASAP. He is not a happy child: he is angry and frustrated when at home. He can't play using his imagination. He gets in trouble constantly. He is starting to become more and more and more defiant. It's horrible, and I am so worried.But...finding meds that are a good fit seems like an insurmountable obstacle. I don't want him to feel like I did on Concerta....I don't want him to be a zombie, or so amped up that he can't control himself or have MORE fits and outbursts of anger and frustration.Has anyone else been through this? Please help. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2M9vkss
