If I can't tell my kid "You're so smart!", what on earth do I say instead?I

I've read all the stuff about praise the effort not the outcomes and I do agree with it - in fact I think it's been the root of many of my problems.However all the alternatives like "Wow you put a lot of effort in!" or "All your hard work really shows" etc etc sound super patronising and like the kind of thing I'd say if someone's don't a crap job and I'm obliged to think of something nice to say about it.What do other people say to their kids? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2tB1ohj
