Sorry if this is jumbled, but I'm still trying to figure things out.We have two kids, a 3 year old daughter and a 9 month old son. My daughter is extremely close with wife's niece, who's 22. She comes over the house all the time and when she's not around my daughter asks where she is.Her niece was involved in a severe car accident on Thursday and I just got word that she's not going to make it past today. She was driving cross country and was hit by a drunk driver. My wife is out there at the hospital a few states away with her as she passes and I'm here watching the kids for the past 3 days.I have no idea how to even start explaining to my daughter why her best friend (her words not mine) isn't around. She's old enough to notice that something is wrong but I don't know when an appropriate time is to explain what happened and why she's not here.Any advice on where to start figuring this out would be appreciated.
