Is it normal for my 6 year old to say she wants to die when she's in time out?

After my 6 year old has been spanked or sent to time out, she yells, bangs on the door and says she hates us, she wants a new family and she wants to die. Should I be concerned? My husband wants me to not disipline her because of this. I think we shouldn't let her get away with bad behavior. Is her behavior normal? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2t55GOv
