Dads - what makes a Father’s Day great?

Hi guys!I hope you all had an amazing Father’s Day! I wanted to pick your brain about what makes a good Father’s Day. I also posted this to daddit. Our first was this year with our 10 month old, and I feel like I may have dropped the ball. He didn’t seem happy, and just kinda “meh”. I definitely did not want that, and I didn’t know what to do/what he was expecting. We were away on Mother’s Day, so I didn’t have a frame of reference. When he woke up, I gave him one of his gifts as well as a card (the other gift he got early), then we went walking on a nature trail with the baby. Next, we got breakfast at a place of his choice, then went home to feed the baby, have her nap, etc. Finally, we went walking around an outdoor shopping mall and then had dinner with family.I am not sure where I went wrong. I kept asking what he would like to do, and I was received with “I don’t knows” or “it is just a normal day”. He doesn’t like to celebrate his birthday, so I assumed he would want this to be low key, as well.Any input is appreciated, and I would love to hear what makes your Father’s Day special! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2yo1bUw
