Teen parents: How bad is the language in your schools?

My child just entered the 7th grade. The school said they try to keep the 12 year old children away from the seniors, but this doesn't happen. On my child's first week of school, she was in the library. I guess she was talking to an older kid who said he hates Mondays. She said she hates the word "Monday" and he said something about it being "fcked up". He then told her she needs to say the word "Fck" because she is in 7th grade now. She said he wouldn't leave her alone until she said it.Moving on, she was singing in the car and started singing rap. I told her please don't sing those lyrics because she doesn't know what they mean and they are vulgar. She wanted me to tell her, so I looked them up and explained the lyrics to "Get Low" by "Lil John and the Eastside boys". She was walking around singing "skeet skeet skeet!" She told me don't worry because she hears worse. We had an open conversation, and she said she hears kids talk about fcking, raping, anal, oral, and they even tell each other they are going to rape their mothers and to go fck themselves in the hallway between classes. This school is rated #81 of 497 in the state. I thought I was making a good choice moving here.Last week, someone in the hall told her she should go home and kill herself. No real reason she said. This got the attention of administration. We were called into the school for this one.I just left the school today, and as I was sitting in my car waiting for her to come out, a kid was rapping in the parking lot. He had headphones on and saw me in the car with my windows down (a perfect audience). He was listening to rap, and was singing loudly "Ill choke you bitches and fck you hoes," then kept going until he was the entire way out of the parking lot about "fcking gangsta" and "shooting pssy a* n***ers".Is it like this everywhere? What has society become? I don't want to sound like a whiner, but I don't want to listen to this language or have my child exposed to it. What happens when these kids have to get a job? Ugh, I'm sick. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2ykfWHd
